Yesterday I helped out with our church's MDO program so Nathan got to spend several hours with his daddy at work. They had a great time! They even went out to eat which was Alex's first time to take Nathan out alone. Daddy did wonderful! He's a natural. I missed my lil' man but it was nice to have some adult interaction.
Before we left the house yesterday, I let Nathan take a nap in his crib which was a HUGE step for me! New moms, you know how it goes. I know most of you are thinking that I'm crazy because it was only a nap but still! I, of course, put our baby monitor on him the whole time. Here's a little shot I took of him sleeping in his crib.
Nathan is still sleeping in his bassinet which is beside my bed. Alex makes fun of me because I am trying to slowly move his bassinet farther away from my bedside. I may only move it a foot but it's progress...right?? I'm afraid he will be moving to his crib a lot sooner than I would like because he is getting too big! He has almost outgrown the bassinet.
I know I sound like a typical new mom and I'm sure things will be different with the second child (don't worry I'm not planning on having another for awhile!). But right now I am enjoying the little things and not yet ready for my baby to move to his crib. Am I the only one??
Kim, I love reading about your life! Your family is so beautiful and I miss you tons! Trust me sister, you are not the only one! Gavin started sleeping in his crib full time about 5-6 months. It's hard to let go and get use to them not being right there, but trust me you sleep a lot better! You are such a beautiful, natural mother and I love being able to see that...via social media :)
