5 Months

Here we are again writing another monthly post! Before I know it, I'll be writing his 12 month post! Thankfully I have a little bit more time before then.

Here is what Nathan has been up to this month:

  • We think he weighs around 15 pounds and around 25 or 26 inches long.
  • He is currently wearing a size 3 diaper.
  • He is nursing every 3 or so hours.
  • He finally started on rice cereal and eats it about once a day.
  • He is wearing size 6-9 month clothing.
  • He loves playing in his exer-saucer.
  • He loves to sit up and is doing really well sitting up by himself.
  • He has become quite the talker or should I say squealer!
  • He grabs at pretty much anything.
  • He is so curious about everything.
  • He loves to play with his feet and pull his socks off.
  • He loves his puppy, CeCe. He loves to pet her and loves it when she licks him.
So blessed with such a precious little boy!! We love you so very much!!

Things I'm Loving...

Here are a few things that I am really loving right now...

Downton Abbey

White Chocolate Caramel Latte

Michael Buble's Christmas CD

And last but not least, Nathan's exer-saucer (I am so thankful that my sister-in-law passed this down to Nathan. He loves playing in it and I can put him in there while I get some chores done!)

What are y'all loving right now? Or what should I try or add to my list??

4 Month Appointment

On Thursday we had Nathan's 4 month appointment. We see Dr. Tanya Rackley at Northwest Pediatric Associates in San Antonio and absolutely love her! She is so thorough in the check-up and takes time to talk with us.

Nathan weighs 13 lbs 12 oz and is 25 inches long. His weight is within the 20%. I was a little worried about his weight but she assured me that his weight was good for his height. She also suggested that we start rice cereal next month!

Poor Nathan had to get his 2nd round of his shots. He got 4 shots (2 in each leg) then one orally. I've never heard him cry that hard. Breaks his momma's heart. I had a bottle ready to give him right after his shots which seemed to help calm him down.

Nathan did great after his first round of shots at his 2 month appointment, but this time he got a small fever yesterday morning. His legs were also very sore. We gave him a little bit of tylenol which helped a lot! Poor baby was not himself yesterday. I could tell he didn't feel well. But he was back to his normal cute self by last night!

We go back to the doctor at 6 months! Can't believe how fast my baby is growing!
